Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 5, 2026
Website: NotaryBrand.com
Company: Notary Brand LLC

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, courses, memberships, training materials, digital content, student account, certificates, and related services offered by Notary Brand LLC, a California limited liability company (“Notary Brand,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, purchasing a course, enrolling in a membership, accessing our website, or using any Notary Brand service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not purchase, enroll in, access, or use our courses, website, or services.

1. About Notary Brand LLC

Notary Brand LLC provides online notary education, notary training, renewal courses, business training, loan signing agent education, and related educational resources.

Notary Brand LLC may offer California notary public education courses, including courses intended to satisfy California notary education requirements, where such courses are approved by the California Secretary of State or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Notary Brand LLC is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

2. Eligibility

To create an account or purchase a course, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.

By using our website or services, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and truthful.

You are responsible for determining whether you are eligible to become, renew as, or serve as a notary public under California law.

3. Student Accounts

Each student must create and use their own individual account.

Student accounts are for individual use only. You may not share, sell, transfer, assign, sublicense, or allow another person to use your account, course access, membership, login credentials, certificates, or training materials.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You agree to notify Notary Brand LLC immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

Notary Brand LLC may suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of account sharing, unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, excessive simultaneous logins, chargeback activity, or violation of these Terms.

4. Account Name and Certificate Name Policy

The name entered during registration will be used as the official name on your student account and on any course completion certificates issued by Notary Brand LLC.

For security, certificate integrity, and account protection, students may not change the name on their account after registration except in the case of a verified legal name change.

Notary Brand LLC may require supporting documentation before approving a legal name change. Examples may include a court order, marriage certificate, divorce decree, updated government-issued identification, or other documentation reasonably requested by Notary Brand LLC.

Corrections for minor typographical errors may be requested through support and are approved at the sole discretion of Notary Brand LLC.

Accounts are non-transferable. A student may not change the account name for the purpose of transferring access, selling access, sharing access, or allowing another person to complete a course or receive a certificate.

5. California Notary Education

Notary Brand LLC may offer California notary education courses, including but not limited to:

  • California six-hour notary public education course;
  • California three-hour notary public renewal/refresher course;
  • California notary renewal training;
  • Notary exam preparation;
  • Loan signing agent training;
  • Notary business and marketing education; and
  • Other related courses and resources.

California requires notary applicants to complete approved education. The California Secretary of State states that a Proof of Completion certificate for a six-hour course is valid for two years from the date of issuance, and a Proof of Completion certificate for a three-hour refresher course is also valid for two years from the date of issuance. Renewal eligibility for the three-hour refresher course depends on California rules, including current commission status and timing of application/exam requirements.

Students are responsible for confirming their own eligibility, timing, application requirements, exam requirements, commission status, and renewal deadlines with the California Secretary of State.

Completion of a Notary Brand course does not guarantee:

  • Appointment as a California notary public;
  • Renewal or reappointment as a California notary public;
  • Passing the California notary public examination;
  • Approval by the California Secretary of State;
  • Approval of any application, bond, background check, live scan, or other state requirement;
  • Employment, signing assignments, income, business results, or professional success.

6. State Approval Status

Notary Brand LLC will not represent a course as California Secretary of State-approved unless and until the course has received the required approval.

If a course is advertised as state-approved, such approval applies only to the specific course, approval period, format, curriculum, and requirements approved by the applicable authority.

State approval requirements may change. Notary Brand LLC may update, revise, suspend, discontinue, or replace courses or course materials as needed to comply with California law, California Secretary of State requirements, vendor approval requirements, course approval requirements, or business needs.

7. Course Time Requirements

Certain California notary courses may require students to spend a minimum amount of time in the course before completion, final quiz access, or certificate issuance.

For example, a California six-hour course may require a minimum of six hours of course participation, and a California three-hour renewal/refresher course may require a minimum of three hours of course participation.

Notary Brand LLC may use learning management system tools, timers, activity logs, course progress tracking, quiz restrictions, or other methods to verify course participation and completion.

Students may not attempt to bypass, manipulate, disable, interfere with, or misrepresent course time, progress tracking, quiz requirements, identity verification, certificate requirements, or completion requirements.

Notary Brand LLC may withhold or revoke certificates if it determines that course requirements were not properly completed.

8. Course Completion and Certificates

A certificate may be issued only after the student satisfies all applicable course requirements, which may include:

  • Required course time;
  • Completion of required lessons;
  • Completion of required topics;
  • Passing required quizzes or exams;
  • Verification of student identity or account information;
  • Compliance with these Terms;
  • Compliance with applicable California requirements.

Notary Brand LLC may issue certificates electronically, manually, or through the learning management system.

A certificate may be denied, delayed, corrected, revoked, or reissued if Notary Brand LLC determines that information was inaccurate, requirements were not satisfied, the account was misused, payment was disputed, or the student violated these Terms.

Students are responsible for downloading, saving, printing, and submitting certificates as required by the California Secretary of State or any applicable exam/application provider.

9. Lifetime Course Access

Notary Brand LLC may offer lifetime access to certain courses, course libraries, renewal courses, training materials, and related educational content.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, “lifetime access” means access for the lifetime of the Notary Brand course platform and the student’s account, subject to these Terms, applicable law, course availability, technology availability, payment status, course approval status, and any requirements imposed by the California Secretary of State or other applicable authority.

Lifetime access is personal to the registered student and may not be transferred, sold, assigned, shared, or used by any other person.

Notary Brand LLC may update, replace, revise, suspend, discontinue, or remove courses or course materials as needed for legal, regulatory, educational, technical, business, or operational reasons.

Lifetime access does not mean that any particular course, certificate, approval, format, lesson, video, download, renewal course, or feature will remain available forever in the same form.

10. Lifetime Renewal Courses

Lifetime course access may include access to eligible renewal courses offered by Notary Brand LLC, including California notary renewal courses, where such courses are available and approved where approval is required.

Students are responsible for determining whether they qualify for a California three-hour renewal/refresher course or whether they must complete a six-hour course.

A student who is not eligible for a three-hour renewal/refresher course may be required by California rules to complete a six-hour course instead.

Notary Brand LLC does not guarantee that a previously completed course or previously issued Proof of Completion certificate will remain valid for any future commission application, renewal, exam, appointment, or reappointment.

Certificate validity, renewal eligibility, application timing, and exam requirements are governed by California law and California Secretary of State requirements.

11. Founding Member or Promotional Lifetime Offers

Notary Brand LLC may offer temporary, limited-time, promotional, founding member, or launch pricing for lifetime course access.

Promotional lifetime pricing may increase, decrease, expire, be modified, or be discontinued at any time without notice.

Purchasing during a promotional period allows the student to lock in the offer purchased at that time, subject to these Terms.

Notary Brand LLC may limit promotional lifetime offers by date, quantity, eligibility, course category, student type, or other criteria.

12. Payments

Notary Brand LLC may accept payment through credit card, debit card, digital wallet, PayPal or other payment methods made available on the website.

By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.

Access may be denied, suspended, or terminated if payment is declined, reversed, disputed, refunded, charged back, or determined to be fraudulent.

Prices may change at any time. Price changes do not entitle previous purchasers to refunds, credits, partial refunds, or price adjustments unless required by law or expressly stated by Notary Brand LLC in writing.

13. Four-Year Refund Policy for Uncompleted Courses

Notary Brand LLC offers a four-year refund period for eligible purchases, provided that the student has not completed the applicable course and has not received a course completion certificate.

A refund may be requested within four years from the original purchase date if all of the following conditions are met:

  1. The student submits the refund request through a support ticket from inside the student account;
  2. The applicable course has not been completed;
  3. No completion certificate has been issued for the applicable course;
  4. The account has not been suspended or terminated for abuse, fraud, chargeback activity, account sharing, unauthorized use, or violation of these Terms;
  5. The student is the original purchaser and registered account holder;
  6. The refund request otherwise complies with these Terms.

Refund requests submitted by email, phone, text message, social media, payment processor dispute, chargeback, or any method other than a support ticket from inside the student account may not be accepted.

This account-ticket requirement helps verify the identity of the account holder, protect student privacy, and prevent unauthorized refund requests.

No refund will be issued after a course has been completed or after a completion certificate has been issued.

14. Reason for the Four-Year Refund Window

Notary Brand LLC offers a four-year refund policy because many California notaries plan ahead for their next renewal.

Students may purchase lifetime course access now to lock in current pricing and take the applicable course later when they are ready.

If a student does not complete the course and otherwise qualifies under this Refund Policy, the student may request a refund within four years of the original purchase date by submitting a support ticket from inside the student account.

15. Non-Refundable Items and Refund Limitations

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the following are not refundable:

  • Completed courses;
  • Courses for which a certificate has been issued;
  • Accounts terminated for fraud, abuse, account sharing, or violation of these Terms;
  • Downloaded or accessed digital materials, where Notary Brand LLC determines that substantial value has been received;
  • Administrative fees, if disclosed at purchase;
  • Third-party fees or charges not controlled by Notary Brand LLC;
  • Services already rendered;
  • Any purchase outside the four-year refund window.

Notary Brand LLC reserves the right to deny refund requests that appear fraudulent, abusive, excessive, inconsistent with these Terms, or submitted by someone other than the registered student account holder.

16. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Students agree to contact Notary Brand LLC through the student account support ticket system before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute may result in temporary or permanent suspension of account access while the matter is reviewed.

If a refund is available under these Terms, the student must request the refund through the student account support ticket system.

A chargeback or payment dispute is not a substitute for Notary Brand LLC’s refund process.

Notary Brand LLC reserves the right to contest chargebacks and provide payment processors, banks, card networks, or other relevant parties with account records, login records, course progress records, certificate records, IP records, support records, and other relevant evidence.

17. Student Conduct

Students agree not to:

  • Share login credentials;
  • Allow another person to access or complete a course using their account;
  • Create false, misleading, or fraudulent account information;
  • Attempt to change the account name to transfer the account;
  • Copy, record, reproduce, distribute, resell, or publish course content;
  • Circumvent course timers, progress tracking, quizzes, exams, or certificate requirements;
  • Use bots, scripts, automation, or other tools to manipulate course progress;
  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or interfere with Notary Brand LLC, its staff, instructors, contractors, vendors, or students;
  • Use the website or courses for unlawful purposes;
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.

Violation of this section may result in suspension or termination without refund.

18. Intellectual Property

All course content, videos, lessons, quizzes, exams, PDFs, downloads, templates, certificates, designs, text, graphics, logos, branding, website content, and training materials are owned by Notary Brand LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Students receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the purchased course content for their own individual educational use.

Students may not copy, reproduce, record, screenshot, download, distribute, sell, resell, share, publish, upload, display, teach from, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit Notary Brand LLC content without written permission.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination without refund and may subject the student to legal action.

Nothing on our website, in our courses, in our materials, or in our communications should be considered legal advice.

Notary Brand LLC is not a law firm and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

22. Third-Party Services

Notary Brand LLC may use third-party platforms and providers, including but not limited to payment processors, learning management systems, email providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, security providers, and other technology vendors.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to the terms, policies, and privacy practices of those third parties.

Notary Brand LLC is not responsible for third-party outages, errors, fees, delays, payment issues, data handling, or service interruptions.

23. Website Availability

Notary Brand LLC strives to keep the website and course platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous access.

Access may be interrupted due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, hosting issues, cybersecurity events, third-party outages, internet disruptions, regulatory changes, or other circumstances.

Notary Brand LLC may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website, course platform, or services at any time.

24. Account Suspension or Termination

Notary Brand LLC may suspend or terminate a student account, with or without notice, if we determine that the student has:

  • Violated these Terms;
  • Shared or transferred account access;
  • Attempted to manipulate course requirements;
  • Provided false or misleading information;
  • Engaged in fraud, abuse, or misconduct;
  • Filed improper or abusive payment disputes;
  • Violated intellectual property rights;
  • Interfered with the website or course platform;
  • Engaged in conduct harmful to Notary Brand LLC or other users.

If an account is suspended or terminated for violation of these Terms, the student may lose access to courses, certificates, membership benefits, and refund eligibility.

You may also receive marketing communications if you opt in or where permitted by law. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent us from sending important account, course, payment, support, or legal notices.

27. Disclaimers

The website, courses, content, materials, certificates, and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Notary Brand LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and course outcome.

Notary Brand LLC does not warrant that the website or courses will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Notary Brand LLC’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the website, courses, memberships, certificates, or services shall not exceed the amount paid by the student to Notary Brand LLC for the specific course or membership giving rise to the claim.

31. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to first contact Notary Brand LLC through the student account support ticket system or by written notice and allow us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief where appropriate.

32. Changes to These Terms

Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
